I CURRENTLY LIVE IN A NORTH BRISBANE CITY SUBURB...
I was raised on a Farm in Brooklands, Nanango. We've
had this second farm (near 1000 acres now) for 35 years and counting. We
had Hereford cattle, pigs, bee's, chocks and small crops. It has
changed/grown and we changed along the way, but the experience my
ex-drover father and pre-farming heritage raises hell in my life....We
had a Drought of income in 1975 and leased the farm.... Well The need to express the Country Boy out finally happened after my horrific experience with a Spinal Cord Injury obtained in 1986 while travelling around Australia in my hand-down Hilux ute and the final settling time after A cancer scare bumped me into the return to Country music. I played Acoustic Guitar and was pushing myself to self-learn piano...Before my accident... In 1996 approx I threw my Casio keyboard onto my feet, my Chromonica (harmonica) and wheeled out to a Maxi Cab (See I'm still wheelchair bound) I turned up to the Northern Suburbs Country Music Clubs practice hall one Thursday night middle of somewhere, cabbie pushed me up the steep ramp and left me. I then alone shivered in my lonely anticipation to perform in front of all these able bods.. With my home made collapsible keyboard stand hardly standing. One finger chord on the Casio with rhythm, and my Harmonica headset choking me. I played and spattered, a John Williamson Song "Purple Roses".. My return was built, I made and grew a great friendship with the Country music clubs. Later with a very good friend/s and singer Ian Scott, I made a huge push to be thought of as normal...equal! I got lifted on every type of stage. I started early in that period like my first festival doing 5 original songs at my own Clubs festival, without a pre-practice band...I made my interest from childhood age, of a real to real Sanyo tape machine, into a computer based studio to my final destination as a 24 track Project Studio...Helping others as I go.. Recording my own... |

My radio play is so far sparse, because I come from left field in most eyes... I Sing/Songwrite in my studio - 153.0350-27.3965-29m ABOVE SEA LEVEL, play Blues Harmonica and try to get my words/idea's down and backed as best I can with limited input available of instrumentalist here in Brisbane. I'm a fan of all good music.. I want to help any others with there dreams to record, my Studio only needs instrumentalist and a voice....I don't do a bad job if that happens... |
